Our Year 11 Mandarin students enjoyed a full and rich itinerary when they visited Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. They immersed themselves in the history and culture of this incredible city by visiting the Hutongs of Beijing, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and The Summer Palace. They took a day trip to the outskirts of Beijing to the Great Wall of China and they spent a day in a Chinese school joining in some lessons and playing sports with Chinese students.
