Safeguarding is a top priority, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every student. We believe that student voice plays a vital role in creating a safe and supportive school environment. Our students are empowered to speak up and know exactly how to report any concerns—they can talk directly to a designated member of staff or use the Tell Us button available on our academy website. By encouraging open communication and actively listening to our students, we ensure that every young person feels heard, respected, and protected.

Boston Spa Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the protection of the child from all forms of abuse. We take our responsibilities for the protection of our children very seriously. All children have a right to be safe no matter who they are or whatever their circumstances.

Keeping children safe is a collegiate responsibility owned by everyone at Boston Spa Academy. We all accept our responsibility to listen to children even though we may not be comfortable with what we hear. If we hear about a child or young person who has experienced treatment that we consider worrying or a concern it is our responsibility to act by telling our Child Protection team, who can be contacted via Reception or the Tell Us button on our academy website. All teaching staff members recruited by the school have their eligibility to teach checked with the DfE.
