We are committed to increasing biodiversity at Boston Spa Academy, so we didn’t just want to plant one or two trees, we wanted to plant 250 of them. This year every single year 7 had the opportunity to plant their very own tree. They planted a mixture of native tree species such as Oak, Hazel, Rowan and Silver Birch. These trees will grow alongside them as they themselves develop and grow at Boston Spa academy. When they graduate from Boston Spa Academy their legacy will continue as the trees grow and mature to provide vital habitat for an array of species of insects and birds.
